What size of Yoni egg to start with?

The smaller the size, the harder it is to smell the egg. As a general rule, women who have given birth and women over the age of 50 should start with a large egg size. Otherwise, the medium size is your best choice. Small eggs are not intended for small women but for experienced practitioners who have mastered the control of their muscles and wish to progress in their practice. All about the use of a Yoni egg

Before using your Yoni egg for the first time, make sure you inspect it thoroughly and make sure that the crystal has not been damaged during shipping. At Karma Yoga Shop we take care to pack your Yoni eggs well and ship them with love, so they should normally arrive in perfect condition. Please note that internal cracks are normal for many stones (such as rose quartz or amethyst for example). However, if you find external cracks (the ones you can feel with your finger), it means that the egg was damaged during shipping. Please do not use it and contact us immediately to return it to us.

After inspecting it, wash it twice in warm water. with soap and air dry it. It is preferable to use unscented natural organic body soap for sensitive skin.

You can also wipe your egg with cotton soaked in vodka or hard alcohol that you have on hand (do not use rubbing alcohol). Afterwards, rinse it thoroughly with water. A third way to clean the egg is to boil a pot of water and then remove it from the heat. Let the water cool down a bit, you should be able to put a finger in it. Now you can put your egg in the water for 12-15 minutes. You can add a few drops of tea tree oil to the water if you wish. Please don't boil your egg, it might crack.

Wash your egg well before and after each use. It is also a good idea to do an energetic cleansing and recharging of your Yoni egg before using it for the first time. Start with a gentle breast massage. You can use a silk scarf or a soft fabric. How often should I wear my Yoni egg?

Although Kegel exercises will improve your results with the Yoni egg, you can definitely reap the benefits simply by wearing it without doing anything! The egg works its magic anyway!

How long to wear a Yoni egg? We recommend starting with about 2 hours, 3 times a week. It is generally recommended to wear it for a maximum of 12 hours, but as always, trust your intuition. It is a good idea to take it out after 12 hours to clean it and let your yoni rest.

However, if you find that you find it difficult to hold the egg while you walk around, you should start by simply sitting with your egg without moving. Several times a week for 10 or 15 minutes (or as much time as you have), concentrate on squeezing the egg and trying to feel it. How to do Kegel exercises with the Yoni egg?

It is very interesting to use your Yoni egg to do Kegel exercises. A "kegel" is the action of tightening and loosening your pelvic muscles... think of the movement you make when you have to pee and holding yourself, it's like a pinch. Conversely, loosening would be like letting you go to pee.

So here's a typical Kegel workout you can do :

1. In a slow and relaxed way, gradually contract and hold a pinch of the pelvic muscles for 3 seconds, then relax for 3 seconds. This is equivalent to 1 repetition.
2. Do it 10 times in a row, once a day, to work your slowly contracting muscle fibers, which maintain general muscle support.
3. After each set of 10 slow repetitions, add 10 quick press repetitions. To do this, repeat steps 1 and 2, but instead of holding for 3 seconds, hold for 1 second and then release. This works the "fast twitch" muscle fibers that come into play when you experience a sudden increase in pelvic pressure.

For the first series of slow contractions, increase your contraction time by 1 second each week until you contract for a 10 times 10 second contraction. Remember to rest and breathe between contractions. This exercise is the one that brings the most benefits, we strongly recommend it.

 

How to practice Yoni Yoga?

Yoni Yoga consists of physical techniques (called poses) that focus on the pelvic muscles, combined with meditative breathing work and uterine connection. I can't keep the egg inside, what should I do?

Don't worry, this is very common, because most of us have never exercised our vaginal muscles before. Don't be discouraged! All great achievements begin with a first step. Once you start working out, you will be able to progress quickly.

If you find that you have trouble holding the egg while you walk, simply start by sitting down while it's inside you a few times a week for 10 to 15 minutes (or however long you have). Concentrate on the egg and just try to feel it by making a contraction. If you don't feel any physical movement, you can focus on the pelvic area and imagine squeezing it. This will begin to engage the part of your brain responsible for controlling these muscles. Be patient with yourself. You may become aware of these muscles for the first time in your life and it may take time and practice. Your pelvic floor may also show weakness or tension on the physical, energy and emotional levels.

I don't feel the egg, is that normal?

It is completely normal, it is not intended to be felt at every moment. Otherwise it would be too distracting to wear it. Yoni's egg is there to help you become aware of the inner workings of your vagina and G spot. By simply wearing it, you can increase sensitivity and gain more control. You will notice that engaging your Yoni muscles or being in certain body positions allows you to feel the egg more.

Do you advise to do vaginal weightlifting?

Vaginal weightlifting exercises are an ancient practice and can be very powerful! Women who choose this practice have usually been using the yoni egg for at least two years, know their bodies very well, and feel a natural desire to add weight as a result of their regular practice. Otherwise, this type of practice can put you at risk of damaging the nerve wiring and muscles of your pelvic floor.

Yoni's egg is a female practice, it is a process and not a goal. The motivation behind the desire to be "better, faster, stronger" and to be able to lift excessive amounts of weight with your vagina can sometimes be motivated by the feeling that you have to compete with others, which is masculine in nature. Remember that you are already enough and that you choose to enjoy the process. How to expel the egg?

Yoni's egg can come out on its own during or after your workout or when you get up in the morning after wearing it overnight. Just know that your yoni was ready to let it out and relax.

If you wish to let it out voluntarily, you can sit on the edge of a chair or squat in a squat position with your hand ready to catch the egg. Relax as you do when you go to the bathroom (Note that the egg may inadvertently come out when you relax your bladder or bowels, so be ready to catch it!).

What to do if the egg falls down the toilet?

All day long, try to remember this when you go to the bathroom. The egg may inadvertently come out when you relieve your bladder or bowels, so be prepared to catch it!

However, if you forgot it and it fell down the toilet, don't embarrass yourself, it happened to the best of us!

Inspect the egg for cracks. If it is intact, you can continue to use it after washing and sterilizing it.

 

Who shouldn't train with a Yoni egg?

Do not use a Yoni egg during your pregnancy. You don't want to upset the uterus during pregnancy, or release energies from old traumas or stimulate tissue that could create contractions and jeopardize your pregnancy. If you have already developed an effective yoni egg practice and practiced it regularly for 6 months before conception, you may be an exception. Nevertheless, in these cases we only recommend very passive exercises, yoni yoga, and we recommend that you consult your midwife or health care team. Yoni egg is a wonderful practice to adopt after childbirth. We suggest that you consult your health care professional to find out if it is safe for you to do so. Talk to your midwife or perineal rehabilitation physiotherapist.

Please do not use a Yoni egg if you have an intrauterine device (IUD). The movement of the egg can hit the IUD and push it into place. The yoni egg string can also get tangled with the IUD threads. Using a yoni egg with an IUD can reduce its effectiveness as a contraceptive device.

For women with any type of internal infection (inflammation of the cervix, uterus or ovary), or fever, it is advised not to practice with a Yoni egg until the symptoms disappear. Women should also not practice if open sores or blisters are present.

Please do not use a Yoni egg if you have a prolapse of the bladder, vagina or rectum. Although it is not explicitly dangerous to your health, we recommend that you do not do so.

Should I use Yoni's egg while I am menstruating?

We do not recommend using your Yoni egg during your period. It is better to give your uterus space to release the monthly blood without adding extra stimulus.

That being said, there is no particular health problem in carrying your Yoni egg during your period. This is a decision you have to make on your own - trust your intuition. If you feel comfortable using it during this time, go for it! Be sure to clean your egg thoroughly before and after each use, as you are more susceptible to infections during this time of the month. Don't wear it longer than a tampon to allow blood to flow out of the body regularly.

 

My stone is cracked or has started to crumble. Can I still use it?

The internal cracks you see in the stone are normal. If, however, the egg begins to flake, crumble, or has external cracks (the cracks you can feel with your finger), then the integrity of the stone is compromised (this can happen if the crystal has fallen on a hard surface). In this case, please stop using the egg immediately.

Please also note that we do not treat our crystals with resins, and due to the nature of the crystal, most stones have small indentations on their surface. Surface indentations and scratches are acceptable if they do not have sharp edges. Simply run your finger over them to check that nothing is abrasive or sharp.

Do not use a Yoni egg if you have an infection of your pelvic organs. The infection must be treated and healed before starting the practice.
