The pineal gland (also known as the third eye) is a pea-sized gland in the "center" of the brain, shaped like a pine cone. It is located near the hypothalamus and pituitary gland.
Also known as the third eye, it is a tool revered by seers and mystics and is considered the organ of supreme universal connection.
Its importance appears in all ancient cultures around the world. For example, in Ayurvedic philosophy, the third eye is represented by the Ajna Chakra and in ancient Egypt, the symbol of the Eye of Horus reflects the placement of the pineal gland in the profile of the human head.
The third eye is related to clarity, concentration, imagination and intuition and connection with divine energy (information).
The third eye seen from the point of view of biology
From a biological point of view, the pineal gland produces melatonin.
Melatonin controls the circadian rhythms (24-hour cycle of production of various hormones and chemicals needed by the body). This makes the pineal gland the main regulator of time, which affects not only our sleeping habits, but also our sexual maturation.
Melatonin also affects our stress and our ability to adapt to a changing world. This third eye activates when exposed to light and performs a number of biological functions to control the body's biorhythms.
It works in harmony with the hypothalamus that directs thirst, hunger, sexual desire and the biological clock that determines our aging process.
The meaning of the 3rd eye
Developing the third eye opens the door to all that is psychic such as telepathy, clairvoyance, lucid dreaming and astral projection. The illusion of separation between self and mind dissolves when one cultivates the link with the third eye.
Why you should awaken your third eye
It is said that a blocked third eye is a source of confusion, uncertainty, cynicism, jealousy and pessimism. With an open and vibrant third eye, the highest source of (cosmic) energy can then penetrate you.
While the physical eyes perceive the physical world, the third eye perceives the non-physical world, the world of information. This information is captured in the form of images, sounds, physical sensations, intuitions etc...
Indeed, your brain is a "modem" that will decode information in a language that is specific to you: images, sensations, etc... When you open your 3rd eye, you gain clarity, concentration, you feel more aware and happier.
Essentially, you become your own master - the master of yourself and your perceptions and you live more consciously in the present moment.
How does calcification occur?
Calcification of the pineal gland is common if the third eye is not used or following a diet rich in fluoride and calcium. Calcification is the accumulation of calcium phosphate crystals in various parts of the body.
This process occurs due to the presence of toxins in common products such as fluoride, hormones and additives, sugars and artificial sweeteners.
Radiation from cell phones and electric and magnetic fields can also have negative effects on the pineal gland.
Your mission: celebrate your 3rd eye
Whether you have a calcified pineal gland or not, you should be happy to have this ability. Indeed, when you begin your awakening practice, you will be more connected to cosmic (or universe) information.
This will allow you to better follow your intuition, and more importantly, to become independent and lead your own life, rather than being dictated to by the media or other outside influences, which ultimately wants you to follow a "movement".
The only movement to follow is your own, but in order to do so, you will have to start practicing certain techniques to activate your pineal gland so that you can receive the information intended for you.
To begin this practice, start by expressing gratitude to your third eye. Give thanks for your innate intuitive abilities and your connection to nature through the circadian rhythms governed by the pineal gland.
Spend 10 minutes each day consciously activating your third eye through meditation, chanting, prayer, dance or yoga.
7 ways to awaken your 3rd eye
1. Avoid fluoride
Pay special attention to water in your life: tap water is a source of Fluoride, which contributes to the calcification of the pineal gland. Toothpaste is another important source of Fluoride. However, there are fluoride free toothpastes that you can find in all organic stores.
Consider adding water filters to your sink and shower faucets. Or if you can, consider buying filtered water fountains altogether.
Also pay attention to industrial food, which contains many chemical additives that can disrupt your brain function.
2. Fill up on vitamins and minerals
Our body is able to balance itself naturally if we provide it with the compounds it needs through our diet. The list of foods that contribute to the detoxification of the pineal gland is long but here are some ingredients that can be particularly useful: raw cocoa, goji berries, garlic, lemon, watermelon, bananas, honey, coconut oil, hemp seeds, coriander, honey, chlorella, spirulina, seaweed, cider vinegar, ginseng.
3. Use essential oils
Many essential oils stimulate the pineal gland and facilitate altered states of consciousness, including lavender, sandalwood, frankincense, parsley and pine. Essential oils can be inhaled directly, added to a neutral oil such as sweet almond oil and spread on the skin, or you can use an essential oil diffuser.
4. Solar practice: Sungazing
Warning: Sungazing is a really excellent practice, however, it should not be practiced just anyhow. Sungazing consists of looking at the sun every day for a certain period of time. However, there are very strict rules to follow so as not to damage your eyes.
Here are the rules to follow imperatively:
Sungazing can only be done at certain times: during the first hour after sunrise or during the last hour after sunset. Never look at the sun if it hurts your eyes.
You have already watched the sunset for some time without danger, haven't you? This is exactly the same. However, you wouldn't think of staring at the sun at any other time than a sunset.
If the sun rises at 5:45 am in your area, you can start your Sungazing between 5:45 am and 6:45 am. Personally I start at 5:45 am because the sun just rises and is still orange, so not bright yellow.
If the sun sets at 7:30 pm, you can sungaze between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm. In the evening I wait the last 30 minutes to start Sungazing, for the same reason as in the morning, the sun is then orange and so it's easy to watch when you start the practice.
• The first day you start by looking at the sun (at the right time) for 10 seconds.
• Each day you add 10 seconds more. Day 1 = 10 seconds. Day 2 = 20 seconds etc...
• We don't skip any step on the seconds, we respect the 10 seconds to be added per day.
• It is necessary to look at the sun without glasses, without binoculars, without lenses: with the naked eye.
• It is interesting to carry out this practice barefoot on sand, grass, or a rock, so that you are well anchored and that the energy can circulate in you.
5. Meditate and sing
Meditation activates the pineal gland by intention: consider visualizing the decalcification of the pineal gland. Chanting causes the pineal gland to vibrate and stimulate it.
Also consider chanting the mantra "Om", known as the primordial sound of the universe.
6. Use crystals
Crystals are important allies in the quest to open the third eye. Use crystals and gemstones in the blue-purple and indigo color range. This color palette indicates an ideal energetic vibration to act on the third eye.
Try for example amethyst, lapis lazuli, labradorite and sodalite. You can meditate with this stone placed on your forehead or simply near you. You can also sleep with this stone under your pillow. Keep it with you as often as possible by choosing a stone jewel.
7. Let your intuition shine
Once you start working with your third eye, you will start receiving orientation messages and visions. Strive to have the courage to act on what your intuition offers you, and this clarity will continue to increase.
Remember that life offers a gift to the one who knows what to do with it.
